Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base

Hello Guys, This is my first Bobbi Brown product (eek) and I love it. I was given a sample of this from my mum and since it was only a small pot it went pretty quick but just from using that small sample I noticed that my make-up stayed on my skin a lot longer and that my skin was moisturised. Once the sample ran out I had to go and buy the product and I was willing to pay no matter how large the price tag was and this face base was £36.00. For starters I love the packaging of this product like most Bobbi Brown products it has a sophisticated look about it. I particularly love the design on the lid of the product which is embossed, also I like how the product is in clear glass which makes the product also look more expensive.

'Rich in feel, but never greasy, this advanced oil-free, face formula, with Shea Butter, instantly hydrates, softens, and cushions skin. Carrot Extract and Vitamin A Complex help minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamins C and E help protect against environmental damage. Grapefruit and Geranium fragrances leave a light, uplifting scent on skin.'

I used this product every morning before applying my foundation as I have noticed that this face base helps my make-up stay on my skin for longer and its also easier to apply the foundation evenly. When applying this product the formula isn't like a liquid primer it is a solid cream so you apply it like you would a day cream, it also sinks into your skin quickly so it doesn't leave your skin greasy for when your going to apply your foundation. The product fragrance has got grapefruit and geranium in and I have to say that it smells amazing, I love applying this to my skin as it smells fresh and full of goodness.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

You've probably seen lots of other blog posts about this concealer or the matching foundation as there was a large hype about them a while ago these blogs were the reason I chose this concealer.

I've got shade Ivory which was one of the lighter shades that you can choose from. Since this concealer is part of the wake me up range to do more than just cover up your blemishes and dark circles, this product is meant to give your eyes a more awake look especially in the morning, I can't tell the difference but it does cover up blemishes and dark circles well. This product is a liquid formula that isn't too thick so you are able to build up the amount of coverage you wont though it doesn't look 'cakey'. This concealer states to give a radiant glow   and when you look closer at the product there are the tiniest specks of what looks like glitter though when its put on the skin you can't notice them.

This concealer hides the blemishes and dark circles well and is a life saver when stubborn spots break out. I also use this product under my eyes to give more coverage than my foundation. This product is £5.99 which is worth paying, I bought mine when this range was on offer which is a good thing to look out for in Boots as they do a lot of offers.

Once this product runs out I'll defiantly be buying another one.

Topshop Lipstick in Innocent and Nail polish

Hi Guys I was in town and was looking for a nude coloured nail polish and a new lipstick that wasn't too expensive so whilst I was looking in Topshop I found exactly what I wanted. As I have said in a blog post about Topshop nail polishes that I love the quality and the price isn't bad for what you are getting and with the amount of colours to choose from I was able to pick a colour that is a nudeish colour. ( The Topshop nail polish review is HERE

I've bought a lipstick from Topshop before in the colour Brighton Rock but this colour really didn't suit me as it was too bright so I gave it to a friend. Even though I had only ever used the lipstick twice I was really impressed with the way it felt on my lips and how matte it was and I'm a lover of matte lipsticks. I wanted a natural coloured lipstick and one that wasn't too bold so I picked Innocent which is a nice neutral colour, this lipstick was £8 which I am willing to pay for the quality of these lipsticks.  I love this lipstick as its matte which I like and that this lipstick is smooth to apply onto the lips and has a slight nourishing effect on the lips.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Hi Guys, I bought this powder a few weeks ago and have been using it everyday in my daily make-up routine. I'd seen this powder in Boots and was always wondering whether to buy it or not but then I started watching Tanya Burr's YouTube videos (check her channel out HERE) and she mentioned it a lot in her videos and I was able to see how to get full use out of the product and as it was only £3.99 I went out and bought it.

To start of the packaging isn't exactly eye catching as its just a clear lid and then the product but it is a cheaper powder and it does the job. There is only one slight thing about this product with the packaging and that is its not very travel friendly as the lid does not lock on its simply a slide on lid so if you were to put it into your bag the lid could easily slip off.

I've got shade 003 Peach Glow and I love the product as when you put the product onto your face it doesn't make your skin orange or give your face a 'cakey' look though next time I think I'll buy the transparent one. On the packaging it says 'Natural shine control' and it really does help I noticed that when I applied my foundation mainly my T zone would look slightly shiny so I tried this product on the mainly shiny parts and it really does help. This powder is really lightweight on your face and after reading a bit more about this product on the boots website I've found out that it says ' it is free of fragrance, oils, parabens and talc, and because it won't clog pores' which to me I think is a real bonus.

I apply this with a Real Techniques bronzer brush as this brush is too big for me to use as a bronzer I'm able to dab the powder onto the brush and smoothly apply the powder. Once this product runs out I'll defiantly be buying it again and I recommend buying it.

MAC Heavenly Creatures Mineralize Eye Shadows.

I was looking through my cousins make up as her make up box is like heaven to me and I came across these amazing eye shadows by MAC though they were only limited edition since I went online to find them and couldn't so she will have to be prepared for me borrowing them. I love the way that this product looks my favourite is the blue one which is bright moon. I love how MAC have made the eyeshadows look with the swirls of different colours within the eye shadow, I just had to show you all these beauties.

No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

I'm forever searching for a good mascara as I'm looking for a mascara that will give my eyelashes length and thickness. Before I bought this mascara I'd been using Maybelline Colosal mascara but the brush was too thick for me and I always end up getting the mascara on my eyelid which is always a pain so I was on the hunt for a new type of brush and brand. I've used a No7 mascara before when I was in school as I wanted a natural lash look but with slight volume so I knew what type of quality I would be getting.

I've tried a mascara that claimed to curl your lashes and make them look better though it was the worst mascara that I've bought I think it was a collection 2000 mascara I can't remember, though I read reviews about this mascara before I bought it so I could make out whether I'd be wasting my money or not anyway back to the mascara.

I love this mascara as when I apply it too my lashes I don't get a mass of the formula onto my lashes which is what I got with my Maybelline mascara also I'm able to apply the mascara without getting lots of clumps onto my lashes and the formula coats the lashes well. I have the Brown/Black colour which is my own mistake I wish that I'd  have picked the black colouring however this colour still gives good coverage and you can't tell that it is brown when its on the lashes. I also really like the brush of this mascara as it isn't a large brush its the perfect size for grabbing each lash. This mascara is sold at Boots for £11.00, the link is HERE I'll defiantly buy this again.
