How I care for Ombre Hair

I've always had blonde hair but when I was younger it used to be a nice light blonde but as I've gotten older my hair has gone to a dirty blonde colour which gets on my nerves so much though I've never wanted to dye it because I don't want to have to worry about roots so I decided to get my hair Ombred or as soom people know it Dip Dyed.

I got my hair Ombred at the hairdressers as its the first time I was getting my hair dyed I didn't want to do it at home though L'Oreal have brought out a new Ombre hair dye kit that you can do at home for a lot cheaper than a hairdressers would charge you. Since I have dirty blonde hair I wanted to have light blonde Ombre which is what I now have and I love it if your considering having you hair Ombred (dip dyed) then give it a go.

As my hair is already blonde I decided to buy a shampoo and conditioner that suits all blonde types which is why I chose to use Toni & Guy for all blondes shampoo and conditioner as I've used this before and got great results. The shampoo is from the cleanse range and the conditioner is nourish and they work well together to keep my hair in good condition. The products smell amazing and I love the way the packaging looks and feels it doesn't feel like your usual bottle of shampoo or conditioner. When you squeeze out the shampoo it is a yellow colour with slight 'glitter' specks into it which I think is great and the conditioner is just a plain yellow but they smell amazing and when you use them both together you are left with lovely soft hair.

I have another Toni & Guy product which is a glosser for all blondes now I've had this for around a year as you only need a pea size amount that you rub into damp hair before though as you can see its almost gone so I need to find where I can buy another. When I used this in my hair I wasn't sure if it was even doing anything to my hair especially since it says its for blondes so when I dried my mums hair (which is brown and used to be highlighted) and once her hair had been dried her hair highlights had gone much lighter which proved to me that this product does do something other than protecting your hair from the sun. This product is also a bit like the shampoo when you pump it onto your hand it has gold shimmer in it but this doesn't come out onto your hair you can't notice it.

This product is said to:
  1. Developed with an exclusive Interbond Conditioning System
  2. Boosts a powerful Fade Resist Complex and a protective micro-net technology
  3. Infused with a UV filter to resist damaging sun rays
  4. Plus cranberry oil and ceramide for conditioning and enhancing
  5. Unveils healthier, more shiny and manageable hair.
Its a serum that was given to me by my hairdresser I use this product on dry hair but only use a small amount as if you use too much it can make your hair look quite greasy it says on the packaging to mainly focus on the ends and as my hair is only dyed at the ends this is the only place that I use it. This product helps to protect colour and smooth-fly aways. I only use this product a few times in the week and usually when I have straightened my hair.
