Bleach London | Silver Shampoo

I'm slowly making my way through the Bleach London products available at Boots. For a few weeks now I've been trying out their silver shampoo. I've been using the Pro. Voke silver shampoo up to now and it does work well but I have found it leaves my hair quite dry even if I use quite a bit of conditioner so I was glad to find Bleach did their own version.

Don't be put off at how much of a deep purple this comes out like it's perfectly normal. Because of the cap you have to be quite careful of how much you pour out as it runs out quite fast. I use this on the ends of my hair once a week alternating it with my normal shampoo. After leaving it on for around 5 minutes so it can take full effect. I always love how silver shampoo turns your water such an amazing colour of purple.

This product doesn't leave my hair feeling dry I always have soft to touch hair with a fresh clean smell to it. The dip dye of my hair is bleached so this silver shampoo knocks all the brassy tones right out and has made it a lovely light blonde. I have noticed that each time I use it my hair looks light as though my dip dye has just been re-done professionally. If your looking for a silver shampoo to try this is defiantly something I would recommend.

It's available at Boots for £5.00 there is also a conditioner to match this for the same price.

Bumble and Bumble Colour Minded Range

I was in Boots looking at the hair products when one of the staff members handed me this sample of some Bumble and Bumble shampoo, conditioner and styling balm for people with coloured or dip dyed hair since a new Bumble and Bumble stand had opened in the Boots, as I know Bumble and Bumble is quite pricey I was glad to be given some samples.

The shampoo and conditioner smelt amazing not only in the shower but afterwards when I dried my hair I could still smell the product sometimes the smell just fades away after its been dried but this time it hadn't, I couldn't stop smelling my hair afterwards. Using both the shampoo and conditioner together made my hair feel really soft and from reading the information on the card I got given it seems that these products are good for the hair, The shamoo is mild and sulphate free and the conditioner is rich in moisture.

I've never really used a styling balm before though when I straighten my hair in the morning I always have flat hair and no matter how much I try to backcomb or push my hair up it goes flat straight away so I was quite excited to give this a try. I applied this to towel dryed hair and i put a little too much onto my hair so once it was try my hair felt really greasy and I had to then wash some of my hair but the next day I was able to style my hair in the way I wanted it and it actually stayed put for longer. I used less of the product the next time it came to drying my hair and used less around the top of my head and I didn't have to re-wash my hair and it didn't feel greasy at all. The styling balm also works as a UV protector.

I can't wait to buy more Bumble and Bumble products after trying my first sample.

How I care for Ombre Hair

I've always had blonde hair but when I was younger it used to be a nice light blonde but as I've gotten older my hair has gone to a dirty blonde colour which gets on my nerves so much though I've never wanted to dye it because I don't want to have to worry about roots so I decided to get my hair Ombred or as soom people know it Dip Dyed.

I got my hair Ombred at the hairdressers as its the first time I was getting my hair dyed I didn't want to do it at home though L'Oreal have brought out a new Ombre hair dye kit that you can do at home for a lot cheaper than a hairdressers would charge you. Since I have dirty blonde hair I wanted to have light blonde Ombre which is what I now have and I love it if your considering having you hair Ombred (dip dyed) then give it a go.

As my hair is already blonde I decided to buy a shampoo and conditioner that suits all blonde types which is why I chose to use Toni & Guy for all blondes shampoo and conditioner as I've used this before and got great results. The shampoo is from the cleanse range and the conditioner is nourish and they work well together to keep my hair in good condition. The products smell amazing and I love the way the packaging looks and feels it doesn't feel like your usual bottle of shampoo or conditioner. When you squeeze out the shampoo it is a yellow colour with slight 'glitter' specks into it which I think is great and the conditioner is just a plain yellow but they smell amazing and when you use them both together you are left with lovely soft hair.

*£5.99 at Amazon

I have another Toni & Guy product which is a glosser for all blondes now I've had this for around a year as you only need a pea size amount that you rub into damp hair before though as you can see its almost gone so I need to find where I can buy another. When I used this in my hair I wasn't sure if it was even doing anything to my hair especially since it says its for blondes so when I dried my mums hair (which is brown and used to be highlighted) and once her hair had been dried her hair highlights had gone much lighter which proved to me that this product does do something other than protecting your hair from the sun. This product is also a bit like the shampoo when you pump it onto your hand it has gold shimmer in it but this doesn't come out onto your hair you can't notice it.

This product is said to:
  1. Developed with an exclusive Interbond Conditioning System
  2. Boosts a powerful Fade Resist Complex and a protective micro-net technology
  3. Infused with a UV filter to resist damaging sun rays
  4. Plus cranberry oil and ceramide for conditioning and enhancing
  5. Unveils healthier, more shiny and manageable hair.
Its a serum that was given to me by my hairdresser I use this product on dry hair but only use a small amount as if you use too much it can make your hair look quite greasy it says on the packaging to mainly focus on the ends and as my hair is only dyed at the ends this is the only place that I use it. This product helps to protect colour and smooth-fly aways. I only use this product a few times in the week and usually when I have straightened my hair.
